Micro Friendship Book/Necklace - Wavus Summer Camp

Supplies: Colorful and white paper, include some heavier paper to be used as a cover, floss, needles, couple beads and one button per student

Tools: Scissors, colored pencils, stapler

How: Cut at least 6 pages per camper: 1 1/2 by 3 inches.

Cut 2 strings 30" long.

Place a crease in the middle of each page,  stack them and open flat.

With book open, staple in the fold.

With book open, place the middle of one cord on the inside of the staple and one on the outside

Tie the two cords in a knot, one at the top of the book's spine and one knot at the bottom of the spine.

Gather the cords together and use as one. 

Thread through larger bead or button and then thread through smaller bead.

Separate cords again and use your favorite friendship bracelet technique, or braid or twist cords together.

Tie ends together into a necklace. 

Be sure it is long enough to fit over your head if you wish to wear as a necklace.
