Human Loom in Action
Common Ground Country Fair-Goers joined in the weaving and became part of a hands on event. Warp ends (white) were numbered 1 thru 6. A twill pattern was created by calling out which warps were raised or lowered. Weft ends (red, orange, turquoise) were carried across to form the pattern by willing kids.
How wonderful! I am currently working on a series of rituals/ceremonies that have weaving as part of there centerpiece - and i found this while i was researching on the 'web. I just wanted to say Huzzah! How wonderful to see this, and thank you for your work.
