Tape Loom - Draft of Colorfilled Checks

Here is a draft to set up threads to weave on the Rigid Heddle Tape Loom
Mine hold 27 threads altogether in 13 slots and 14 holes. Use any six colors you choose for this pattern. I like to use the same color weft as the edge color.

Remember: wArp goes on the loom before wEft. The weft is what you weave into the warp.

How much yarn? Three yards of warp threads will produce about 2 yards of woven tape and you will have about 15 inches of warp left that you cannot weave at the end. I begin weaving about 12-15 inches in from the beginning so the end can be plied into fanciful cords.

If you desire a tape a certain length, add about 1/3 longer warp than you need. Add an additional 15" for loom waste. If you want to get two pieces with fringe, add this fringe length in twice!
