Finish work

The last few days I have been finishing handbags for an order from the Maine Center for Craft in Gardiner. I wove the fabric for the purses out of wool from Maine sheep dyed by Kelly at Romney Ridge Farm. There are other fibers in there too but Kelly's forms the bulk of it. There is a lot of hand sewing to finish each one. I sew in each lining and stitch on the handles. The bags have interior pockets all around the inside.
