Weave Like It's 1699 - video online

A little over 3 minutes of threading, pattern and weaving demo.

Tape Loom from
Bowdoin College's Walker Art Museum.
36 x 9" oak
from the Denis family
1680-1700

Below is the loom Rick Luce and I built.
We used the same dimensions as the 1600's example
It is available on my etsy site,
It comes wit 3 yards of colorful warp.
You may choose silk or cotton.
Comes complete with a shuttle and weft
Several different color-ways are available.

You can have fun weaving up tapes for all sorts of uses. Great for kids and easy to learn the basics of how to make fabric. Also great for teaching hands- on  history lessons.
