Felt Fabric - Saturday, June 1, 9:30-11:30

Experiment with wet feltmaking to create fabric. Cut it to use in other projects or make a pair of cuffs or soft boot liners. We will be using Maine wool, alpaca and mohair fibers to create colorful felt.Workshop $40.00 materials $10.00

Weave a Fishy Tapestry - Saturday, June 1, 12:30 - 2:00 

Snippets of colorful, bulky, handspun, Maine yarns will weave up super fast in this fun workshop for all ages! Anyone can create a sculptural weaving tapestry with simple materialsL twigs, ribbon, embroidery floss and yarn. All tools and materials will be provided by instructor including beads and buttons for fishy eyes! Your finished woven fish sculpture will be suitable to swim in a favorite window or to rest on your bookshelf or other favorite spot. Workshop $35.00 materials: $8.00 kids and adults welcome

Build a Twig Trellis - Sunday, June 2, 9:30-12 

Create a trellis for you garden plants to grow up or use your trellis to display a wreath or photos inside your home. Sturdy maple, Birch, ash and/or beech twigs are fixed together to create a unique structure that will be come a visual and functional centerpiece for your garden.  Fix elements together with wire and screws and weaving. Workshop $50.00 materials $20.00

Bio:

I have been weaving a long time. I wove narrow decorative trim on 19th century Jacquard looms as sample weaver in Wickford, Rhode Island. I did hand weaving production weaving for Carol Schwartzott, www.crayonboxdesigns.com and Amy Putansu http://www.arrowmont.org/workshops/venueevents/283-amy-putansu
