Last weekend I was vending, catching up w pals at Fiber College in Searsport. Had a great weekend, good weather and lots of laughs. I shared how I stitch on paper in one of the classes offered there.

I also went to the opening reception for Surface Design Assoc exhibit in Lewiston, ME. "Altering Matters". It is a strong show of work of 30 Maine fiberartists. An added bonus is the 12x12" squares of samples of work by fiber artists from around the world that you can touch!

Photo is a detail of my piece 'Miller Road" 25 feet long alpaca, from Chase Tavern Farm, Maine, that is warp dyed. The squares are rayon-ish/ cotton backed material. Long narrow piece is warp dyed cotton and tencel. My second piece is a tapestry woven pillow all in white, "Cole Street".Se
